Basic Yorkie Information

Yorkies are adorable little dogs full of energy and attitude and would make a great addition to a family. Yorkies are usually cheerful and always in the mood to have fun. They like to go for walks, play and explore.

Even though yorkies are terriers, they are included in the Toy Group. Yorkies make excellent watch dogs and will fearlessly defend it's own property and owners.

Yorkies especially like to be with their families at all times and will eagerly join family members anywhere they go. Thankfully, yorkies are the perfect size to carry around. Yorkies are full of curiosity and will explore everything in it's surroundings. They will also adapt to new surroundings fairly quickly.

Due to their petite size, yorkies are easy to keep no matter the size of your home. Yorkies also do not shed twice a year like most other dogs. All you need to do to keep your yorkie looking great is give their coat a daily brushing.
