Yorkie Care: The Teeth

Yorkie Care: The Teeth

You should start getting your yorkie used to dental care as soon as possible. This will make taking care of your yorkie's teeth much easier when it gets older.

Proper nutrition is the best way to prevent tooth problems later on. Hard food is good for keeping tartar off of your yorkie's teeth and you can find several brands of food made with "small bites" that are perfect for a yorkie.

Chew bones and toys are also great for keeping a yorkie's teeth in great condition.

You can also get a toothbrush and dog toothpaste to keep your yorkie's teeth clean. Make sure that the toothbrush is soft bristled and don't use human toothpaste or baking soda on your yorkie.
